Getting here from Arlington

By car from Pentagon City, take I-395 South to exit 3 (Duke Street, VA-236 East), then follow Duke Street and South Van Dorn Street to Eisenhower Avenue. Google Maps puts the trip at about 8 miles from Pentagon City and about 9 miles from Clarendon. Off-peak, the drive from Pentagon City usually takes 12 to 22 minutes on a weekend morning and 14 to 28 minutes on a weekday late morning. From Clarendon or Crystal City, plan on 14 to 35 minutes. Weekday rush hour on I-395 takes longer.

By Metro, Pentagon City, Crystal City and the Pentagon sit on the Blue Line, which runs to Van Dorn Street with no transfer. From Pentagon City station, Google Maps shows about 21 minutes door to door, and the walk from Van Dorn Street station to the academy is about 3 minutes. From Clarendon or Ballston, ride the Orange or Silver Line to Rosslyn and switch to the Blue Line.

Kids BJJ for Arlington families

Kids BJJ runs in four age groups: Tumblers (2–3), Tots (4–6), Kids (7–10) and Teens (11–14). Weekday kids classes start between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM, right in the evening rush on I-395, so Saturday morning can be the easier trip from Arlington: Tumblers at 9:30 AM and Kids and Teens No-Gi (ages 4–14) at 10:00 AM.
