Programs at One Way Performance
Five programs run out of the building. Tell us your goal when you book and we will put you in the right one.
Physical conditioning for martial arts
Sport-specific strength, power and conditioning for BJJ, Muay Thai, boxing and wrestling. Built to improve performance and durability for combat athletes at every level, so the work carries over to the mat rather than competing with it. Coach Nazar runs it as four classes: Iron Grip for BJJ, Iron Punch for striking, Power & Pressure for explosive power, and Boost for faster recovery and a bigger gas tank.
Kids Athletic Development (ages 6–12)
The foundation every young athlete needs, whatever the sport: strength, speed, balance, coordination, mobility and confidence. Kids learn to run, jump, land and change direction properly, and build the core and the muscles around the knees, ankles, hips and shoulders that can help reduce the risk of common sports injuries. Quality of movement comes first, before any speed, resistance or intensity is added. Built for kids who play soccer, basketball, football, baseball, wrestling or martial arts, or who simply want to be stronger and more active. Coached by Nazar: text him for the schedule and available spots.
Women's lifting
Structured barbell programming in a focused, no-intimidation environment. Coach-led training that builds strength and confidence under the bar, from your first lift to advanced work. Coached by Asia.
Postpartum lifting
Progressive return-to-strength programming built around recovery, core function and pelvic health. Coaching that meets you where you are and rebuilds step by step. Please get clearance from your own doctor or midwife before you start, and tell your coach what they advised.
Private training
One-on-one coaching for athletes, beginners and anyone returning from injury. Personalized programming and direct attention, at a time that fits your week.

Coach Asia Rideout
Pregnancy and postpartum strength, women's lifting
Asia Rideout is the founder of Mother Made Strong. Born and raised in Hawaii, she trains women through every season of womanhood, with a particular focus on pregnancy, postpartum and the years of motherhood that follow.
She builds strength from the inside out, starting with the foundations most programs skip: breath mechanics, pelvic floor function, deep core connection and safe progressions for diastasis recti recovery. She is also a student midwife and doula, so she understands the body through pregnancy and birth rather than only inside the gym.
Whether you are expecting, newly postpartum, or years into motherhood and ready to feel strong again, her semi-private classes and one-to-one sessions start from where you actually are. If you have never touched a barbell, that is the normal starting point rather than the exception.

Frequently asked questions
Is One Way Performance in the same building as the martial arts gym?
No. One Way Performance is a separate building at 5400 Eisenhower Ave, Suite A, Alexandria, VA 22304. The martial arts academy is at 5416 Eisenhower Ave, a short walk along the same street. Strength and conditioning runs in the performance building, not on the mats.
What programs run at One Way Performance?
Five: physical conditioning for martial arts, Kids Athletic Development for ages 6–12, women's lifting, postpartum lifting, and private one-on-one training. Coach Nazar Mazurkevych leads the martial arts conditioning (Iron Grip, Iron Punch, Power & Pressure and Boost), Kids Athletic Development and the men's classes. Coach Asia Rideout leads the women's lifting and the pregnancy and postpartum work, covering breath mechanics, pelvic floor function, deep core connection and diastasis recti recovery.
Do I have to train martial arts to join?
No. All strength and conditioning programs are open to everyone, whether or not you train martial arts. Only the competition classes are invitation only, since they are built for athletes preparing for a specific event.
I have never lifted before. Is that a problem?
No, it is the normal starting point. The women's lifting and private training groups both take complete beginners, and the first sessions are about learning the lifts properly rather than loading them.
